Regarding choosing a dealer:

I chose to work with Audio Advice in Raleigh, N.C. - even though they are 250 miles from my home. I visited the store once, when we were in Raleigh visiting our daughter and her family.

I placed the order with Audio Advice when I bought my Triton Ones. The order was placed on a Friday and the speakers arrived at my home via motor freight the following Wednesday. They were shipped directly to me from Golden Ear, not from the dealer.

The people at Audio Advice in Raleigh were knowledgeable and helpful.

Just reporting upon my experience, for what it might be worth.

Btw, called in to GoldenEar and ended up speaking to Sandy.
While I had him, asked if there are any plans for say upgrades from T1s to References. He said its up to the dealers but the company isn't planning anything... Ah well.

I may have missed it, but has there been any discussion as to a Reference Center? I plan to use new system mostly for home theater. Thank you.

Nope, nothing planned yet. Using a higher crossover setting on the SuperCenter XXL will be the proposed matching center setup.

Just got my Absolute Sound Apr 2017.
the CES review talks a bit about the GeT Reference (saying good things) and then in Neil's Best of Show picked them as the best floorstanders for the money, saying "about as much speaker as $8500 should be allowed to be".

Put a deposit down at my local dealer!

Um, update after reading further. Each reviewer from CES picked the Reference as the best sound for the money, either along with some other products (Robert Harley, Julie Mullins) or the only best of show (for the money) they picked (Jonathan Valin).
Can't wait to hear these boys...
