Thanks Wayne - I hope to at least add power amps in the future but budget and wife constraints held me back for now. However, I listened to a setup at Audio Advice that powered Triton Ones with an Anthem MRX 520 and it sounded great.

One thing my salesman said was to live with my setup for 6 months or more and then I would be able to tell with my ears if any future changes made an audible difference to me.

That was very good advice from your salesman, I think all here would agree.

This is purely a curiosity question. The T2's internal crossover to the bass drivers is around 160 HZ. With the T1's bigger mid/bass drivers/stiffer cabinet etc. etc., the crossover to bass is around 100 HZ.

With the References' bigger/badder yet mid/bass drivers and all the other upgrades, what is the internal crossover on those babies to the bigger/badder yet bass drivers????

Curiosity only. No sweat if that is part of the "secret sauce".

Thanks!

Rick

Given that - to my knowledge - the first production run hasn't occurred yet, can one conclude that the pair of speakers being reviewed have been "custom" manufactured? Just looking to understand how identical the review pair (and the one used at CES) is to the ones slated for consumer consumption.

Personally I didn't find Al Griffin's review all that compelling.

As it is known I have a deposit on a pair already, I'd be more than happy to "review" a demo pair in the interim of receiving my production pair ;)

And I promise to write a review that will completely overshadow Al's B) :) ;)

The two pre-production approval pairs are identical to the coming production models - that said I'd rather not get into a presentation of the design-to-production process, suffice it to say ours is no different than others.

I think Al is a great writer, great listener, and writes to the middle. If you want the audiophile technical reviews you'll get them later when Stereophile, The Absolute Sound, Soundstage, etc., do their reviews of the Triton Reference in the months to come.

We all look forward to your review of your pair when received.
