Update on initial delivery date - According to my sales guy, the expected arrival at dealerships is probably mid-July but I think the official line is mid to late summer.

By the way, I am new to the forum and still a future GoldenEar owner at the moment. And I strongly agree with the others who like Audio Advice in Raleigh - they are real professionals and easy to work with.

Hi Fred. Welcome to the forum :)

Given the information I have from my dealer and other sources, I can confirm July is the current target, and I remain hopeful the availability date will not slip further into the future.

I spent a lot of time deciding on speakers and although I don't like the name too much, the GoldenEar line won me over.

Let me share what I am getting with the group and y'all can weigh in with your comments and maybe share your setups too. (By the way, as in all things when married, there were some trade-offs made with my dear wife ... but I am getting the Reference speakers!)

Receiver: Anthem MRX 1120
Blu-Ray: Oppo UDP-203
Center: Supercenter XXL
Fronts: Reference
Surrounds: Invisa MPX (concession to my wife!)
Ceiling: Invisa HTR 7000 (4 speakers)

Audio Advice in Raleigh is my dealer and they have been great to work with. Since we are building a new house, I was able to prewire everything in the walls and Audio Advice picked the wiring that they thought would be best.

By the way, I budget like the federal government ... my initial plan was to spend around $10K ....

Fred, that is gonna be a super/awesome sounding system!!!!
Seriously!!! And I understand about the budget.
One day, you don't have to hurry, IF you can swing it, just try a separate amp/surround processor combo. The Reference will surely reward you for the better amps and cleanest/purest signal you can put through them.
Happy listening,
God Bless,
Wayne
