cover has a gap open on the left side?

Is this an easy fix?

Thanks.

The grille is "removable for service only", as a prerequisite for approvals. A gap would imply it has been knocked out of place, either in shipping or in handling - or else there is a defect of some sort (during assembly that wasn't caught perhaps). There is a procedure to remove and re-install, which realistically requires two or more people to do, which may be the only way to fix the gap if it has simply been dislodged from its track. I would suggest you contact your dealer for assistance. Alternatively, email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and ask for the grille removal instructions and give it a try yourself.

Well, this morning I ordered a pair of Triton References, so I'm joining the waiting list club. My dealer (Paradyme in Roseville, CA) told me probably late September for delivery.

I have a pair of T1s, which I accidentally damaged, so the TRefs will be both replacement and upgrade. Now, all I have to do is listen to my B&W 683 S2 backup speakers between now and then. They do sound very good, but they ain't T1s. Hopefully, I'll be able to get the T1s fully operational again and sell them.

Is there anything we can help you with on the damaged T Ones?
Can't you get them fixed by GEt?
You didn't paint em white did you??????
Hang in there, I would suspect you will get them faster than Sept.

Wayne,

Just lost my reply because of internet problems.

Anyway, my damaged T1 needed new bass drivers, replaced under warranty (very generous, considering...), but when I got it home, it had bass distortion harmonics audible on the midrange drivers. This makes me think it may be the amp board. So, a complicated situation. I'll take both T1s back to the service center when I pick up my Trefs. Maybe they'll be able to get them both back to par. We'll see.

For all you T Ref buyers, here's a great little video one of our dealers did with GoldenEar's Eastern Sales Director. Even talks about the ever popular spikes topic.... :)

Charlie, GEt has the BEST service and most generous, helpful repairs any of us have ever heard of, give them a chance. I feel sure they will get your Ones sorted out.
But I am sure you will have a GREAT BIG SMILE on your face when you get the References up and running!!!!!
Can't wait to hear your thoughts.
