Hi Charlie. Hey, if changing the power cords has made a meaningful difference to you (albeit something you can actually measure, hear, placebo or something else) more power (no pun intended) to you. I do agree with you that transient power demands can be high. Where we perhaps disagree is that I believe the power chords supplied with the T Refs by GoldenEar are more than sufficient to handle whatever power demands there may be, and changing power chords will not truly (or at least shouldn't unless the cord is defective) matter. And yes, blind tests are not necessarily the "last word" but you'd be surprised at how different your opinion and/or hearing becomes when subjected to a proper blind test. Happy listening!

What is the maximum amount of AC amps the subwoofer amplifier can demand? 20 amps require 12 gauge 15 amps 14 gauge. 10 amp 16 gauge etc...
