Ok think I found one www.amazon.com/Crown-XLS1000-Power-Ampli...ords=power+amplifier

This seems to have really good reviews. Thanks for pointing out that other one had a misleading description.

DaveyMac,
That Crown may be a better choice. I am not sure it will be as sweet with your T5s as you want. But it definitely should sound better than a bum channel on your present amp/receiver.
The Crown is sorta made for PA work and is Class D. I have 2 Class D amps running my T7s as my rear surrounds and they sound OK. Nothing to write home about.
I would suggest an amp from Emotiva, NAD, Peachtree, even Marantz. And don't over look the used market When money is tight this is the way most of us have been able to put a system together, buy used.
As I mentioned a good 75 to 200 wpc of honest power would be great.
But the Crown might be just what you need.
All the best,
God Bless,
Wayne

Davey/Mac,

Before investing in another amp, there is a quick way to check your AVR to confirm a bad channel at low frequencies. Either use a test CD to play tones to check the channel or, if you do not have a test CD, look for websites which offer various audio tones. Download the tones and play them into your system - or make your own test CD with the tones.

Best,

Art

I am currently using the older receiver to yours the AVR-X4000, but I think it is 125Wpc RMS at 8ohms. I am also using three Emotiva XPA-1L across the front three channels, and I really like it a lot, definitely an extention to just the receiver!

It is switchable and for music, which I stream across my AppleTV, in class A mode (upto 35watts), I always walk up to my center channel to make sure that it's not actually on, and works well with movies too. I am still breaking everything in, so I am still awaiting that extra sweet kick in!
On the counter side, my budget and WAF upstairs is entirely different, I am running the SS3 pair and SS50c and a FF3 sub, all straight from another AVR-X4000. I find it is enough power and all speakers easy to drive!

Thanks
Po

Po,

You're killing me here. That's precisely what I was considering. PLEASE let me know what you think of the combination. Other users here have had a lot of good things to say. Thank you.

Cheers,

T Cobe
