That Beethoven guy had some talent!!!!
T. Cobe,
I wanna say IF you have your surround sound setup, your home theater setup correctly (and I would BET money that you do!!) you are totally set for that blu-ray concert experience from Beethoven or other great composers that will lift your heart and move your soul!!!!
T. Cobe, if you play a super duper blu-ray concert in surround sound, are you saying that playing it in stereo direct sounds better?
IF so, let's talk.
God Bless, Wayne

Wayne,

If I'm playing stereo music, I like it best in 2-channel through my separate CD player and pre-amp. If the material is a Blu-Ray, it is most definitely better in my surround setup. I just prefer to keep the content as it was intended and I don't like any processing for stereo playback. Just my preference. I've played 2 channel music in various surround formats and it sounds good, it's just not my preference. I'm sure this Boothoven Blu-Ray will sound phenomenal in DTS/Dolby surround. I'll be sure to let you guys know when I pull the trigger on this one. Thanks for the reference!

Cheers,

T Cobe

Yes, Yes, Yes, sorry I misread or misunderstood.
OF COURSE.
IF I ever listen to P.O.S. music on my system, yes, it is always in direct stereo mode; problem is, I never do.
I only listen to stereo music on my cans, car or iems, car or walking. Now I do play back TV and football games on the DTS Neo6 surround sound. Quite pleasant too.
But YES, concerts must be in glorious surround sound. That is the point of all these speakers and amps.
I knew we had to be on the same page.
God Bless,
Wayne

Boys and girls, "Jane Got A Gun" is a pretty good one. It stars the wonderful Natalie Portman, who also produced it, or helped.
The pic is good for a Western, OK. SQ from DTS 5.1 was really good. Perhaps not demo material, but I am not sure. One scene with a lot of fireplay had me looking over and checking on my wife, who I was pretty certain must have gotten shot!!!!! Don't rightly know how they missed with all the bullets hitting over on her side of the room.
The story worked itself out slowly and was quite a good one after all. Pretty intelligent for a Western.
I enjoyed it. Recommended.
God Bless,
Wayne

Jane Got A Gun was a good film but the plot was rather dark. I recently watched it on Netflix streaming. Definitely worth watching but don't expect it to be a feel good western. Spot on report, Wayne!

Hey T.
If you thought Jane was dark, don't watch Bone Tomahawk or Hateful Eight!!!! They make Jane look like a Disney Western.
God Bless,
Wayn

T. Cobe,
You previously reported very well on the "Huntsman, Winter's War".
The ladies were wonderful, I thought the computer graphics, SFX were just amazing, as were the costumes.
I would give it an award on PQ, but nothing special on SQ.
Still I quite enjoyed it, RECOMMENDED.
God Bless,
Wayne
