You smooth talker, you! I just ordered “Live at Pompei”. The best you’ve ever heard... Wow. Couldn’t pass that up.

Hey Bro Rick,
I am super excited to see how you like it????
Course you probably have to be a bit of a fan of that music, but I am assuming you are since you bought it.
The opening scene of that ancient amphitheater with the fateful volcano in the background, the way they have the place all lit and fired up, is AWESOME! Then toward the end of the show, well, they REALLY put on a show!!!!
Waiting to see what it sounded like in your super system???
God bless,
Wayne

Hi, Wayne

Even though "Live at Pompeii" is a Prime item, it won't get here in 2 days. "Usually ships in 1-3 weeks" is what Amazon says.

So I'll have to be patient. I'll let you know when it gets here and I get a chance to play it. :)

Hey Bro Rick,
I hope it gets there soon. The one I ordered for my daughter's Christmas is supposed to get there by Dec. 14.
Course I just got a delay message on a Greg Brown CD I ordered for myself, saying it would be way after the new year. Hope that does not happen with the Pompeii.

Last night we watched a STRANGE movie, "Colossal" with Anne Hathaway and Jason Sudeikis. She is a decent actress usually, and here she plays a woman with less than stellar success with relationships, going all the way back to childhood. Maybe the point???? Anyway, her lack of success has rather HUGE consequences.
I have no idea what the point was.
But for some time we did not figure out, see what was happening, see it coming. Then when we did we were sorta past interest.
Not the best movie, but YMMV.
It does have Tim Blake Nelson (O Brother Where Art Thou?) in it.
PQ was alright, nothing great. SQ was the same, alright, nothing great. Some use of the 5.1 surround and bass.
Let me give this an INTERESTING rating. Did anyone else see it, like it?
I will say that my wife and daughter did manage to stay awake through it, JUST BARELY, they were drifting at the end.
I won't watch it again.
God Bless,
Wayne

Hello boys and girls,
No new movies around here lately, kinda hoping to get some soon.
But in the meantime, I did get 5 seasons of the TV series "Longmire".
Have you seen it? It is set in my old stomping grounds, Wyoming. The sheriff there, Walt Longmire solves crimes, rights wrongs, etc. And in a good, down to earth way, VERY well written stories, each show concludes a mystery, solves a crime, something. It does not drag on continued all the time.
Beautiful countryside, most of it is centered around Buffalo, WY but shot actually in New Mexico as there are more resources there and more conducive country since they are not shooting in the mountains all that often.
Nothing exceptional sound wise, but it suits.
That is all from here
God bless,
Wayne

OK, broke down and watched "Why Him" with Cranston and Franco, and the beautiful Zoey Deutch.
Nasty, terrible language.
PQ was great, the picture was stunningly good for this type of movie.
SQ was so so, nothing interesting, they music did not even sound that good and it was in DTS HD 7.1
The movie was GROSS, but well done and good natured, good actors.
I saw it rated 2 to 3 stars, I cannot rate it that highly because I do not like to hear language like that non stop, in your face.
God Bless,
Wayne
