Glad you enjoyed it Bro T.
Did you guys listen loudly? It seriously scared me when the organ solo came on, I almost turned down the volume, but decided to see what the big boys would do with it.
What about those soprano and tenor soloists? I normally don't enjoy that kind of singing, but those two were the best of class I ever heard.
I found one copy of the Back Gamut, and that will qualify with what Bro Art is recommending to me as well, hope to get it someday soon.
On another note, man Bro Rick, you have a totally decent way of writing, you just come across in here as a total gentleman (in a good way). Wish I was like you!!!!
God Bless,
Wayne

Thanks, Rick. Patience is a virtue and good things come to those that wait, right? Until the time comes, I'll live vicariously through you and the others here that have their setups all worked out.

Cheers,

T Cobe

Hey, Wayne

Aw, PSHAW!! All I can say is I am SO glad to be just a part of sharing insights, HUMOR, tips, good music, pointers on great gear, with such a NICE, accepting and knowledgeable group of people!!!!

Re the SL's and singing on the Janacek disc, yes I pushed the SL's! Sometimes I just wonder at how capable the GEt's are at whatever volume I choose. They never lose their composure! And, yes, the vocals were amazing. But the part that REALLY caught my attention was when the organ solo started, and my breastbone started vibrating, and the T1's and T2's started bringing the house down. Wow. Maybe we all need to have a structural engineer check on things now and then after the GEt's are through with their thing....

Let us know what you think of Bach Gamut! Play it with some gusto!

Happy listening!

Rick

Hey, T

I guess we all keep thinking about "what more could we do?". Maybe I'll never feel like my setup is all worked out... should I have more external amps like you have (I'm seriously thinking about replacing the 2 channel NAD with a AT 525NC 5 channel amp)? Can't wait to audition the Triton References, I'm guessing later this year after I get back from NH in Sept. And THEN, I listen to Deepwater Horizon on my HT system as it is, and think, how much more could I possibly want??? It's already fantastic, mind blowing, IMAX type stuff!!!

That's the fun of all this. We ALL have amazing systems!!!!! I could never have imagined years ago that I would have such mind blowing SQ right here in my living room!!!

Ain't this FUN???

Rick

It's all the fun you can have with yer clothes on!!!!!
Great comments Bro Rick!!!!
I just got the Bach Gamut ordered, but don't hold your breath, it will be some time before I get it. But I do plan to turn it up!!!
I can't wait, really. I just ordered the Cowon Plenue M2 player at the same time. Along with a 200 GB micro sd card.
I am tired of my iBasso DX90 letting me down, sometimes not playing. Having battery issues, but mostly I can't see the screen well enough to read it when I am on my walks!!! Don't wear reading glasses on my walks, and the fonts are horribly small and dim. AND, I am surrounded by ESS SABRE dacs in all my music, what with that DX90 and my Oppos. I want to hear some different take on music, a different DAC. The Cowon runs on a Burr Brown PCM 1795 and is said to have a smooth, almost analog sounding signature.
No, it cannot play Bluetooth, or WiFi. It is just an audio player but we will see what it sounds like.
Excited.
God Bless,
Wayne

Hey, Wayne

Let us know how your new Cowon sounds when you get it!

Re the Brach Gamut disc coming your way, it's 2 channel: do you have an option in your receiver to play it in surround or multi channel stereo? Adding the T2's and SuperCenter, for me, makes it all the more enjoyable, but I've also played it T1's by themselves. It all works. Whatever floats your boat!
