"POS" has served me very well for a number of decades, so I am not likely to abandon that old technology anytime soon. I do not have a home theater and have no opportunity to construct one in my house. My music-listening room also serves as our downstairs den, study, business office, TV-watching room, display center for family memorabilia, occasional napping spot, and whatever else might become necessary. It is large enough for me to have a 9.2 channel system, but will not accommodate a TV larger than the 42-inch Sony I currently have in place..

I have spent many months converting my entire CD collection to lossless FLAC files so that I could store them on an external hard drive and play them with a dedicated computer. I have greatly enjoyed the convenience of being able to play my music from a dedicated laptop..

I am very happy that I own 3 pairs of GE speakers and I use them all to listen to music. Notwithstanding all that I have said, I am enjoying reading about what other folks are doing with their systems.

Happy listening!

So many great systems, so many ideas on getting the most out of the audio experience.. and everyone gets to do what works best for them, with what gear and audio collection suits them. I don't doubt I'd love the SQ I'd hear, on any of those GEt systems represented on this forum. I love the diversity of opinions and solutions I read about here.

So, Wayne, it's your thread, lead us back to what you'd like to tell us about your new T1's! We're all ears! :)

Happy listening!

Rick

Excellent suggestion, Rick. Appears that Wayne needs a good AC man to cool things off.

Wayne will just have to sneak off in the middle of the night when it's cooler to feed his addiction to great audio. I frequently wake up early, before my Wife, and sneak down to the basement to listen to my latest albums or catch up on shows she doesn't enjoy. While it may seem like sneaky or suspicious behavior, there's no reason to be ashamed...

I hope you get the AC back up and running soon, Wayne. It would be a shame to neglect all of that great gear! You could always pack it up and bring it to Wisconsin. It's plenty cool here. ;)

Cheers,

T Cobe

Art, I am surprised that all that equipment of yours in that room does not add up to a home theater!!!
Rick, I am looking for the A/C repairman any time you want to send him!!!!
I do listen late at night when it is a little cooler!!!

Let me wrap up this thread or at least get to the point, I bought the Ones!!!! Thanks GEt!!!

Wayne,

Great decision! We knew you would keep the Ones.

There is much less active equipment in my room now, since I have all active speakers connected to my Onkyo, except for my two center speakers which are separately driven by an old Sony Receiver. Yes, I have "Home Theater" sound with 9.2 channels plus two extra subs. And, it is satisfactory for movies. For the moment, I am happy with my latest arrangement.

Hope you get a bit of relief from the heat so you can immerse yourself in great GE sound.

Best,

Art
