Another comment about the Triton Ones, I am just discovering.
BTW, they keep getting better, and/or I am getting well addicted to their sound.
Many of you know I rarely listen to two channel music, but I got some CDs in the mail the past couple of days, I hope to rip them and be able to play them in my ears while I am walking. But I want to have a listen to them, new music and old. I don't want to bother my wife with music she doesn't like at the volume I want to listen, so I am listening with my cans, some good cans (HiFiMan He-400i, Oppo 95 playing through a Vincent tube/transistor headphone amp, good setup IMHO). AND I hate to admit, but for the first time I miss my regular speakers (now T Ones)!!!! They play two channel better than my cans rig!!!!
That was not the case with my lovely T 2s. I especially miss all that sweet bass. And the room filling soundstage everyone playing in their proper space!!!!! The Ones are truly magical, more so than the T 2s, which were way hard to beat!!!!!
Lovin' my Ones!!!!!
God Bless,
Wayne
P.S. these babies are some efficient. I routinely listen at a lower power setting on my equipment than I did with the T 2s, to get the same house rockin' volume. SWEET!

Wow, Wayne
I've been following your posts, ordering 2 channel CD's... thought maybe it was to rip for your iem's.Playing also on the T1's, good for you!!! Yes, the T1's bring a whoe new dimension to 2 channel. Still love 9 channel Dolby surround for 2 channel stuff, but listening to T1's in any channel mode is SWEET!
Happy listening!
Rick

Some more love for my new Triton Ones!!!
I saw info about this SACD on Stereophile's Music in the Round and bought it.
www.stereophile.com/content/music-round-...#PBQLgfmxTWaVA8Mx.97
Kalman Rubinson does a great write up of the Janacek "Glagolitic Mass"
This is REFERENCE stuff here. This disc has it all, BIG symphony, BIGGER ORGAN and choirs with amazing soprano and tenor soloists. All stunningly well recorded.
SCARED ME!!!!!
The organ solo (only in 5.0 so there was no sub LFE channel) basically scared me it was so loud and powerful coming outta the Ones!!!!!
I loved my T 2s, you know I did, but they would never have shocked me and WOWed me on this disc the way the Ones did!!!!
The Triton Ones wear their BIG BOY PANTS when you turn up the volume on this disc!!!
I mean, IF this is your kind of music (it is not exactly Rock and Roll, so not really my kind of music) then you must get this disc. IF you just want to show off your Ones, get this disc.
Happy times,
God Bless,
Wayne

Wayne, Wayne
When you use descriptions like "REFERENCE stuff", "SCARED ME!!!!", "The Triton 1's wear their BIG BOY PANTS".... well I just had to order this Janocek SACD. It's on you, Bro Wayne! These various discs keep arriving at my house after I read GEt threads. What was that post Anthem had about audiophiles and their money???
Looking forward to getting scared!!!!

Bro Rick, and Bro T. who also ordered this,
Now remember what I said, this ain't what I call Rock and Roll!!!!
Seriously I do not really like it in classical when the "fat lady sings"!
I am not a fan of the soloists as such. Choral music is pretty cool Bro Art, but when the soloists stand up and rip it off I don't usually get into it. The Verdi Requiem for example, great soloists but not my cuppa tea.
When I put on this mass I did not really know what to expect except from Kal's review (Stereophile), and I turned it up at first since she who does not like my music was not home. And when the soprano soloist came on and then the tenor, I remembered that Kal had said they were really great singers---YEAH I guess. I never heard better voices in my life!!!!
And then later the organ solo came and I had things turned up, it scared me, I almost turned it down, but thought, the Ones can handle this, let's just see what rips?????
WELL NOW, rip it did!!!! Remember there is no LFE channel on this disc so everything you are hearing is not getting any help from the sub. Not that it is incredibly low, but it is POWERFUL and FULL ON!!!!! I would like to party with that organist!!!
I hope you guys enjoy it, at the very least as a reference disc.
It is not music that moves me like the Beethoven or Brahms symphonies move me. BUT I guess scared is a kind of moved!
Enjoy, God Bless,
Wayne

Wayne,
Want a workout for your Ones? Try some well-recorded Bach organ compositions. There are plenty of recordings from which to choose.
Happy listening.
