I would also recommend the Bryston 4bsst2 as a fabulous 2 channel amp. It works well with my ones.

Is anyone using Wyred 4 Sound or other ICEpower amps with Tritons?

Hi Imahawki,
Good question.
I have not heard Wyred, but I do have a Bel Canto eVo6 that powers my Triton 3 surrounds. I would guess Class D, or Ice, or whatever it might be called is all in the implementation. I ran my Apogee ribbons on this amp for years, and my center channels, including my SC X now. The Bel Canto sounds great, but ultimately I upgraded (at the cost of considerably more heat in the room) to hybrid tubes and transistors in the Vincent amps. They are just a "little" warmer, smoother, glistening sound, especially that first 10 Watts of pure class A.
I would recommend a good audition, that is the only way to know.
Have fun putting it all together,
God Bless, Wayne

Imahawki,

I'd be curious on this as well. If you're looking for a class D, ICE amp, I think Peachtree amps are ICE, or at least they were. They are highly rated as well and members here have raved about their sound on the Tritons. They seem like a safer investment to me, IMO. They are widely available so an audition should be pretty easy to accomplish.

Cheers,

T Cobe

I've heard good things about Peachtree. Unfortunately, over the last couple of model iterations, they've moved away from including home theater bypass features, something that Wyred has retained on both integrated amps and pre-amps.

That's odd, I swear I responded but it didn't get posted. I have read many good things about Peachtree and even heard some units at RMAF but its been many years. Peachtree started removing the home theater bypass from their units which is something that Wyred still offers and is a very appealing feature for me.
