Rogue One is a prequel to the original Star Wars movie and sequels. SQ and PQ are first rate (It got Academy Award nominations for both Best Sound Mixing and Best Visual Effects). CGI does have it's benefits. What can be done digitally to enhance the viewing/listening experience has come a LONG way since the original Star Wars! Can be played in DTS HD Master Audio 7.1

Plot/story line gives teasers to what's to follow time-wise in Star Wars and sequels. Everything moves along at a good pace, no dull spots wondering when it will end.

Recommended, especially for folks who have followed all the previous versions.

Thanks Bro Rick,
Good review, but I will not likely be watching. I know, NEVER SAY NEVER.
I went to the opening of Star Wars when it premiered in London, just happened to be there.
I was raised on Sci-Fi. Still love it.
Was not impressed with the first one, nor the second one, not sure when I stopped wasting money, probably after only 2-3.
But good for those of you who liked it.
Enjoy,
God Bless,
Wayne

Tonight the family watched "I.T." with Pierce Brosnan of 007 fame.
I really like some of his movies, most, of his movies, and the ones where he is pretty whacky and sorta funny are really good. He does not take himself too seriously. (The Matador was terrific).
Well in this movie, at least his Maserati driving character does.
PQ is very good, bright and clear when need be and dark, intense when called for.
SQ is only 5.1 but I thought it was very well done, supportive of the movie.
It is a thriller, but not as thrilling as the filmmakers probably hoped it would be.
Still it is a recommend for an evenings' entertainment from me. Not great, not reference, but a good rental movie.
God Bless,
Wayne

OK, I am so far behind, I know this movie has already been well reviewed, but I just finally got to watch it and thought it was totally AMAZING!!!! "Hacksaw Ridge" is such a wonderful true story, what a blessing to have had this guy in our world!!!!!
The movie is well done, well told story, perfect acting. The PQ is great, SQ is almost as good as it should be, Dolby Digital 5.1 is just not quite as good as DTS, and 7.1 would have been better.
But in the bullets whizzing by, all hell breaking lose and exploding parts, it sounds extremely convincing.
Teresa Palmer certainly looked the part of a gal I would want to come home for.
SUPER MOVIE, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!
Nothing quite reference but the story.
God Bless,
Wayne

My Darling thread here, I have not forgotten you!!!
I am just watching TV series blu-rays right now, The Walking Dead, EXTANT, the NBA Finals and then I will be back to movies.
Blu rays make those series better watching and listening than DVDs, but not greatly so.
So, nothing exciting to report on.
Hope you are doing better than I am entertainment wise, and I can't complain.
C'mon FOOTBALL SEASON!!!!!

I am watching "EXTANT" and can't wait to get this series over. Which won't take too long because it only went two seasons and I am in season two now.
I love me some Halle Berry!!!!
But I can see why this one was cancelled. The writing is terrible!!!! Her acting is pretty sweet, but the rest of the cast, most of them are people that I would not want to see in anything ever again. Yikes.
Just a bummer of a series, and too bad really!!!!
Not recommended. Oh the PQ in blu ray is fine, some interesting takes on the future but mostly not.
YMMV, but I doubt it since it was cancelled and they will put nearly anything on the tube.
God Bless,
Wayne
