Watched Independence Day: Resurgence. I give it a meh out of 5. Picture quality was fine, there were not really any stunning visuals. Sound was good but not great. I didn't find the SFX to be particularly articulate. There was plenty of bass but it didn't move me.

First, we just suffered through the MOST BORING movie, "Equals".
Who cares, PQ was terrible, SQ had a lot of low level rumbling, low music.
Just dreadful movie, NOT recommended.

Bro T. Cobe, you called it on "X-Men Apocalypse"!!!!!
I watched it twice, once in English, did not like it, but not a fan of the franchise! Then once in Thai with the fam , and got a different take on it, they loved it, got into the parts that were hokey to me. So it was fun with them.
Then I had to call the structural engineers today to check the house!!!! The bass shook the place to the foundations!!!!
YES, this is REFERENCE BASS in a movie!!!!
Bro Rick, I do not have things dialed in yet, the T 2s are not in the right place in surround position, I have not run my room correction (DIRAC) again yet, but I have the FF5 and Triton Ones and T 2s all; playing on LFE, the T 3s in the rear are not connected to LFE, but I still have all around room shaking bass!!!!!
One thing I did notice in this movie, wondering if any one else did, the ground shaking bass that was meant to build tension, lead up to some fantastic event, explosion or something, just built up and rattled the place until the actual explosion, at which point the bass was not there much!!! Did anyone else experience this?

I am ready for Jason Bourne now, just got him and a few other good movies, hope I can quit reporting on duds for a while.
God Bless,
Wayne

Hey, Wayne

YEAH, BASS!!! I know that my T1's and T2's together, all LFE connected, can just pour the bass at me. Breastbone shaking. It can feel like the whole room is shaking. I can only imagine what adding a FF5 and T3's to that mix does!!!! I'll be looking for seismic reports out of Thailand that some "mysterious source" has been causing ground tremors!!! :woohoo:

ENJOY!!!!

Well Rick, SR Vaughn said you could come on in, so I don't know what the problem is.
Not rockin' so much, gotta get the bass working on one T 2. Can't figure that one out yet.
God Bless,
Wayne
