Here is the one you were waiting for: Watched "Poltergeist" tonight. The new one.
Course I knew the story well enough having watched the one with the little Drew Barrymore girl.
PQ was quite good. SQ was by way of DTS-HD MA 7.1 and well, not noticeable at all. I guess it was fine, did not detract from the movie nor stand out. Nothing reference in other words.
RECOMMENDED for a night's scary (sorta) entertainment.
God Bless, Wayne
God bless the child that's got his own.

I watched Pixels with my 9 year old. She wanted to see it ever since the previews aired. It was just OK. I probably liked it more than average even, given that I'm a child of the 80s. The special effects and sound were very good. The writing and acting were typical Adam Sandler fair.

Funny Imahawki,
That is exactly what we watched tonight. I agree with your review.
TONS of special effects, CGI, and the PQ was good. SQ was nothing special but adequate.
Good to watch with kids I guess, our 15 year old thinks she has outgrown cartoons, but liked this one some.
I cannot recommend it unless you need something silly to watch with the kids.
God Bless, Wayne

I would also caution that this movie is PG-13. We are OK with our kids watching PG-13 movies if the reason is basically a little more adult language.

Got the BBQ assembled, looks just like the picture. Back is hurting now, leaving my huevos alone, watched a movie instead.
Watched "Effie Gray"
Story about the great writer and art critic, John Ruskin, WHAT A JERK, WHAT A WEIRDO!!!!!!
Married this beautiful young girl and never consummated the marriage, kept her miserable for years, true story.
Terrible story, never mind the PQ and SQ, nothing special
HECK even IF it was special I would not recommend this boring, miserable movie to anybody!!!!!!
The music for the final credits is great!!!!!
God Bless,
Wayne

Wayne,

Anthem sent you your new BBQ already? Weren't you supposed to wait until Christmas to open it? Glad you got that sorted out. There won't be any grilling out here until April or May but I'm sure you can use yours year round. I hope you find a better movie to watch today while you rest your back.

If you and the other guys and gals haven't checked out Into The Badlands on AMC yet, it may be worth a try. It's reminiscent of Sunday morning Kung-Fu except it's in English. The action is great and the story so far is pretty interesting. The production quality is good and the actors seem to have gone through significant coaching/training. It's fairly gory, so I probably wouldn't let the kids watch.

Cheers,

T Cobe
