"Sleepless" with Jamie Foxx and Michelle Monaghan (usually so sexy but no longer, or at least not in this one) was just OK.
I saw it rated 2 or 3 stars outta 5, 2 seems about right.
PQ was alright, so was SQ at 5.1. The music in the club scenes was fairly overwhelming but other than that, nothing really stood out sound wise.
Haphazard writing and acting, some action that did not thrill.
Only Recommended if you have nothing better to do, but OK entertainment. BAD LANGUAGE warning though.
ROUGH.
God Bless,
Wayne

We saw "Mama Mia! Here We Go Again" today in a local movie theater. Loved it. Spontaneous applause in the audience at the end. Great ABBA songs adapted to a new story line. This is not just a remake of the original Mama Mia movie, but a revisit/update of the story and characters years later.

Just pre-ordered the Blu-ray on Amazon. Gotta' hear it on the GEt's.

For anyone who loves ABBA music, highly recommended.

Thanks Rick!!!
Tonight a genius, joyous, VERY surprising, MAGICAL movie, "Downsizing".
Does not look like much, though Matt Damon stars and there are LOTS of other great actors, the premise is superb as is the writing.
There is humor, heart, so much to like about this movie, a little language, but this is just a wonderful movie!!!!
PQ was great, and SQ was by way of 7.1 and really not that noticeable. Surround sound was not the strength of this movie, the only time I really noticed the sound was in the music at the end credits, totally fine sounding.
BUT
This movie is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! Don't miss this movie. One of the best movies I have seen in a LONG TIME!!!!! Yes, it drags a little in places, but well worth it.
God Bless,
Wayne

Oh Baby, I am on a roll, two good movies in a row, wow!!!!!
Tonight I watched "Blade Runner 2049".
Gosling and Ford are joined by quite a few lovely ladies and the scenery is great, PQ is super!!!!
SQ was only 5.1 on my copy but VERY good, LOTS of BASS galore, rattled the walls.
I really enjoyed this one, just could have used a bit of editing as it dragged in a coupla spots.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, good movie, and a very worthy follow up on the old Blade Runner.
YMMV but I really enjoyed it. A little bit of language, but not much.
Enjoy, this is a good one.
God Bless,
Wayne

Nick Cage and Elijah Wood in "The Trust".
Some gave it 2 1/2 to 3 stars, I say less than that.
PQ was OK, SQ was by way of 5.1 and nothing special at all.
In fact, the film was nothing special at all.
Language warning, boring in spots warning, and just overall could have been a lot better.
Not really recommended, but if ya got nothing better to do, you could try it, with enough popcorn it might be good.
YMMV,
God Bless,
Wayne

Started "Colonia" last night, but had to turn it off when the home theater flooded. Finally got the place back water free and finished it tonight. It is based on true events, an OK movie, made all the better by starring Emma Watson.
PQ was pretty great, SQ was 5.1 and nothing noticeable. Interesting story, sorta recommended as interesting, especially historically. Well acted and done, but I am not highly enthusiastic about it.

Cause I watched a REALLY GOOD movie tonight, "Nocturnal Animals".
There is gross nudity in the beginning and some occasionally as well, some bad language, not a kids show at all.
PQ was very good, very artistic and provocative.
SQ was 5.1 and nothing noticeable. Sorry, but the story was REALLY interesting. RIVETING.
VERY well written and acted, exceptionally so. Thought provoking.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this as a good movie, pretty good thriller, oddly artistic, but showing a lot of the farce of the artsy fartsy life.
I don't think it will make anybody's list of demo material, but is a good watch for adults.
YMMV, God Bless,
Wayne
