Wayne...me and your daughter would get along just fine, I'm a Transformers fan...I have them all. Mind bending action with mind blowing sound. She is welcome at our house... we'll have a Transformers marathon.

I'm supposed to be training forearms and calves, but here I sit , glued to my chair listening to Russ...this sounds awesome.

Russ Freeman and The Rippingtons/Sahara (1994)

'Til We're Together Again and Portscha are the play again & again tracks. Track #4, Principles of Desire, sounds like an eighties porn tune...I generally skip it. All in all, a good CD. Sounded extra special using the decware/radio shack with Emotiva power cables running through the upsampling Cambridge Audio azur 840C. Like Wayne says, the more tweaks one does, eventually great sound will come.

What a day...this morning I had a mind altering experience. I went to fill up with gas and two stalls over a vehicle was playing country music at a moderately loud level. They were singing about drinking beer, proverbial sex and lord knows what else. A cloud of disgust came over me, I pumped a couple of gallons (I wanted $60.00 worth) become so disoriented with the rude/crude/lewd music, that I prematurely stopped my fill up and left. I'm not sure if I'll ever be the same again. In the morning I'll listen to some smooth jazz and try to regain what I lost today.

Had plans of watching Noah this morning but that didn't pan out, so instead, I had a reggae day.

Midnite/Ras Mek Peace

This is a Mapleshade recording and without a doubt sounds extraordinary. I wish they would allow their guitar playing abilities to come through in their songs. They are a one-tempo/speed band that appear to be afraid of changing tempo...someone needs to tell them that change can be a good thing...me for instance, yesterday smooth jazz, today reggae...wow.

Track 3: "Banking in the pig" starts out with great guitar but quickly resorts back to the same old/same old tempo.
Track 4: "Hieroglyphics" my favorite tune on the cd, has an infectious guitar with a hint of piano. The drums appear to come from slightly above the top of the speaker as if the drummer is on a platform. Although this CD is repetitious it's a great listen.

Wayne, if I remember you have this CD, right? Track Hieroglyphics on your 7's and see what you think.
