An update on the wife's fish dilemma. She went back to the store Monday afternoon, but didn't realize that in order to obtain another fish (48 hour warranty)she would need to bring in a water sample to make sure the tank was in balance. The water was tested and showed a slight rise in pH. She was told to do a small water change (4 gallons). After everything was said and done, she said it was a hassle, but worth it. We now have a new member in the family.

She chose a Gold Severum, also known as the Banded Cichlid. He/she is a good looking fish and will hopefully be around for many years to come.

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

Simply put...Beautiful!

Brian Culbertson/Dreams (2012)

I love this CD. Brian is such a talented pianist. Track #4: "Still Here", featuring Vivian Green literally gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. Beautiful ballads, soaring vocals...smooth jazz at it's finest.

Tuesday I ordered "Another Long Night Out" his latest CD...should be here on the 14th.

Wayne you'll be happy too know...the NEW fish really dig smooth jazz...I had NO doubts.

Yesterday I friended someone on Facebook that I went to highschool with (37 years ago)...we use to run around together. She says she still listens to Judas Priest. I told her if she hangs around me long enough, smooth jazz will become her new music genre...wishful thinking :-)

Today I've been listening to: Joshua Redman/Freedom From the Groove (1996)

I suppose most would classify this as Traditional Jazz. Five piece band with Peter Bernstein/guitar ; Peter Martin/ Piano ; Christopher Thomas/ bass ; Brian Blade/drums ; and the star of the show JOSHUA REDMAN on sax. Great CD...this recording will demonstrate how well the Triton's reproduce the upper octaves of the saxophone... They do quite well.

DEADLIFTING and listening to Shilts/Headboppin (2006)

Headboppin sax smooth jazz at its finest. Shilts plays one mean sax on this CD...every song is a winner. It's so good I played it 4 times today. If you like headboppin, tail waggin' sax, this CD is sure to please.
