Still got the blues is one of my ALL TIME Favorites.
Well, say what you want about Pattaya, but there is a LOT of live music going on there, it is our New Orleans.
And I love to hear Lam and his boys play, have followed them for years. Bangkok, Pattaya, around.
You are not gonna get to hear great live music without getting a little bit dirty. ha ha
Here is a pic of when he came up to Chiang Rai.
All the best,
God Bless,
Wayne
God bless the child that's got his own.

Hanoi Rocks

rock/glam rock

One of the more under appreciated bands from the 80s and early 90s was Finnish glamsters Hanoi Rocks

They heavily influenced many bands back in the day,Guns and Roses most notably.

They never got huge in the States as their 1st major American tour was cut short due to drummer Razzle being killed in a car accident while riding passenger in a car driven by a drunk Vince Neil(Motley Crue)Vince survived,Razzle didnt.

Michael Monroe was the singer, and while not having a "good" voice,he was a good showman and the girls loved him.

The main attraction to Hanoi is lead guitarist and primary song writer,Andy McCoy....pretty much Finlands version of Keith Richards, for better and worse. He writes some amazing melodies and very catchy chords.

In an era when style was more important than talent,Hanoi Rocks did both equally well. Here are some my favorite Hanoi Rocks tunes.

To this day they remain one of alltime favorite bands.

I named my daughter after this song :)

Covering CCR

Hanoi ballad

Andy McCoy and Nasty side project....great cover!

Andy McCoy ballad...great stuff!

Andy McCoy covering The Stones...improv and informal, with Finnish introduction

Today is Bro Anthem's birthday (56)...I thought I'd treat myself to some "Skunk Funk".

Randy Becker w/Michael Becker--Some Skunk Funk (2005)

This CD is a live performance which showcases two brothers, one on trumpet, the other on sax...they play together so beautifully with such grace and precision. Each time I listen I'm more appreciative of what they're trying to convay. The majority of these songs are a wild frenzy of good time fun. Today, my favorites include, (but not limited to) "Shanghigh" ; "Wayne Out" ; and "Strap-hangin". An occasional drum, organ, piano, trumpet and sax solo makes it's way on this CD...this is a "something to get excited about" music. If you like upbeat trumpet/sax, you will love this.

For my birthday my wife got me "ONE" 1 1/4 lb. weight... I need two. I asked her, "what am I supposed to do with this"? Her response, "they only had one"...anyone out there want to contribute a 1 1/4 lb. weight?

A few minutes ago the wife told me, "now you have something to look forward to for your next birthday"... ha-ha
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

Happy Birthday Bro Anthem!!!!
I hope and pray you have a happy one and MANY MANY more!!!!!
Your wife has a wonderful sense of humor, which we knew already of course, she has to have one to be married to you!!!!
OK, I found one, and will contribute another 1 1/4 # weight. I don't want you getting all lopsided over there.
But really Bro, you should try some of the heavier weights, heck, I could just about lift this one with no help!!!!!
God Bless you,
Have a good one and great listening!!!!!
Wayne
