The AntiCable Reference 3 powercord and Level 6.2 Absolute Signature RCA Analog Interconnect arrived yesterday afternoon. I haven't listened to the new powercord because I already know what it sounds like...AWESOME! The Level 6.2 interconnects were a booger (can we say booger on here?) to hookup. I really had a Dickens of a time trying to get the plugs into the Oppo, but with some effort and some praying I got her hooked up. At this point I do not want to say a whole lot because they are new and not broken in yet. If you remember, when I listened to the Reference 3 powercord for the first time, they had been broken in with hundreds of hours of play, so to be fair, I need more time to make comparisons with the Decware DSG interconnects.
I will say upon first listen, I thought there was some darkness in the sound, and when the music called for it, detail abounded with ear catching beauty. I've caught myself on several occasions asking "what did I just hear"...I'm not sure...for some reason the 6.2 sounds different than my other interconnects, but I can't quite put a finger on what the difference is. More listening is needed at this point, and hopefully within the 30 day trial period I'll figure out what these interconnects are all about...I have a feeling they'll be a KEEPER.
I'll post in a few weeks what I decide. The 30 day trial period ends January 7, 2016...wow, this year has gone by so quickly.

It seems that cleaner, purer sound, always still very MUSICAL, may also be true for the RCA interconnects, in addition to that same performance characteristic we've seen with the Anti-Cable power cords...???
You are the pioneer here, Anthem. We'll await further reports after you've had a chance to listen to and break in the Level 6.2 RCA for a bit.
Happy listening!

The claims by these power cord manufacturers is:
The shielding and type/gauge of copper used removes line noise and provides a path out of the attached supply for noise generated internal to the attached device.
Question 1
Do the Triton(1,2,3) series power supplies have any filtering built in to handle this noise?
Question 2
If so, does this filtering differ between Tritons towers?
Question 3
If there is a difference, what are they?
I can understand other components like disc players and processor units having some noise issues, as the DSP's vary as does board design. Both can effect output noise on the power line that they don't really care about as long as it passes UL and FCC regs.
Thanks,
DT

Hi, DT
We'll all wait for the Moderator Dude to provide more definitive answers...
What I can add to your question is that when I tested the Venom 3 power cords, they did add more rich and deep bass to T2's being amped directly by an NAD T757 AVR, and when those same power cords were tested on my T1's, being fed by an external amp (NAD 275BEE), I did not detect any difference. I have no idea why the T2's responded as they did, and the T1's didn't. External amp provided better, cleaner power to the T1's already? T1's have upgraded electronics to begin with? Don't know, but my T2's DO love the Venom 3 power cord.

My theory:
Players, AVR and processors could benefit from the power cords. Mainly due to the fact these units power supplies only need to meet FCC regs for emissions and don't amplify the signal where noise rears its ugly head.(AVR do have amps) The noise then ends up on the other connected equipment power line and sneaks into the audio signal where it effects sound quality???
Oh well my $.02
Well see how this proves.
Enjoy!!

Let's not over analyze the powercord issue. Power cords do make a difference . Try a Anti-Cable Reference 3 powercord on your Source, if you don't hear a difference your either deaf or you are lying.
The AntiCable Reference 3 powercord will annihilate the Shunyata Venom 3 power cord. When I heard the Anti-Cable in place of the Venom 3 for the first time, I knew in less than 5 minutes the Anti-Cable was absolutely superior. Let's not be a "Doubting Thomas"...try one.
