Thanks. Your post inspired me to pull my Triton Ones further away from my back wall (actually built-in open book shelves in the back wall). My spacing is approximately 100" apart and 120" from my PLP.

Width spacing is at max permitted to keep away from side walls and PLP would be difficult to shorten.

Hi Art. I think you would be hard pressed to find ANY speaker manufacturer who does NOT recommend using the equilateral triangle placement method. In my view equilateral placement is significantly more than a "general guideline". I'll go as far as to say that it is the theoretical ideal, and any deviation from that is less than optimal.

Many speaker manufacturers recommend sitting further away than the speakers are apart.

I believe Tannoy is one of them.

And.....as good as everything sounds it looks like the murky sounding mids are not going away. Bummer.
