OK. Moving the speakers around has resolved the nasaly thing for the most part. Now it seems when I set the sub level where it should be, the midrange becomes veiled. It's very noticeable on vocals. They sound kind of chesty. If I remove the power from the subs it's much better. What if I turn the subs all the way down and then feed the LFE input with my NHT active sub crossover? I can then adjust the crossover frequency of the sub. It seems I'm the only one having these midrange issues! Dang it!

Hey Ben,
Where do you have the volume control on the built in subs set?
I have mine set at less than 10 o'clock. The subs are powerful; I have found it easy to have
them set too high.
Again, experimentation is the key to success.

It sounds best at 12 o'clock. I listen to pipe organ and that where it needs to be but it causes the chesty sound in the vocals I'm referring to.

By all means, try your idea of feeding the low frequencies directly into the LFE inputs on the Tritons. That is how my system is configured. See the threads I initiated about my LFE experiments for details about how my system is configured. I listen to classical music and jazz. When I listen to pipe organs, low pipes can be felt as well as heard.

I have never achieved the total sound effects I wanted without driving low frequency signals directly into my Triton One LFE inputs. Doing so allows me to set the LFE gain controls on the Triton Ones to Minimum.
