Ben,

I think we discussed toe in on the second page of this thread... Anyways, I'm glad you got it worked out now and you have you're new T2s locked in. Trial and error is great and you got to know your Tritons intimately. It sounds like you have a keen ear and attention to detail. I hope you'll visit back to report how things are going and if you're happy with your T2s. Happy listening!

Cheers,

T Cobe

Deal breaker. I just can't seem to get the imaging thing resolved. As I sit and listen if I move my head only slightly left or right the image goes out of focus. I'm talking about vocals or anything in the exact center. It seems to change from track to track. If I move my head left or right a couple of inches or less it just doesn't sound right. When it's right it's great. Drives me crazy. I want to enjoy the music not think about the speakers.

Ben,

I treated my side walls to deal with the primary/first reflections and it helped me with what you're talking about though I'm not sure my issue was quite as bad. I will say that dead center is still the sweet spot. It still sounds good if I'm not, but the vocals won't be locked in the center. I don't think this is all the unusual as most critical listening rooms have the PLP dead center.

I would temporarily set them up in another room and see if the problem persists. I suppose if it does and there is nothing you can do about your room, it may not matter. Sorry achieving great sound has been so illusion for you.

Cheers,

T Cobe

Ben,

Please re-read my earlier post in this thread about setting up additional speakers elsewhere in the room. They don't have to be top quality speakers, but they might help change the dynamics in your room situation.

Best,

Art
