Ladies and Gentlemen,
Tonight we watched "The Lazarus Effect" starring Olivia Wilde and some other people.
I have liked nearly everything Ms Wilde has been in, but this one not so much.
PQ was fine and SQ, by way of DTS-HS MA 5.1 was pretty good, actually quite good IF what you really like in sound for a move is SHOCK and AWE. I mean, this is an effective technique for providing suspense and drama, and for shocking the audience.
The movie itself was just not that well written IMHO.
Recommended only for some interesting workout for your speakers.
God Bless, Wayne

Watched "Big Game" with Sam L. Jackson tonight.
PQ was extraordinary mountain scenery. SQ was by way of DTS-HD MA 5.1 and was pretty great, not reference, but there is an explosion that you will enjoy on your great systems.
As you probably know, Brother Jackson does not take any crumby roles, so you can expect a great movie here.
Ha Ha.
Actually it is kind of fun and I will give it a fair recommendation. OK, it is not up to my usually high critical movie standard, but for what it is, it is pretty well done.
God Bless, Wayne

Anthem,

Reviewers were blown away by the special effects and lack of CGI. Looks like a wild ride and a perfect movie for the big screen! I'll definitely check it out this weekend and post my impressions. Looks like a lot of movies will be released over the next 30 to 60 days. It's about time! It's been quiet for a while.

Cheers,

T Cobe
