Rob,

Aventage is good. Did you ever check out accessories4less.com? Super deals on refurbished units that would be great as a temporary solution.

Cheers,

T Cobe

I did check them out, but I came across some horror stories! Lots of people with beat-up equipment, some people said the tech support was terrible, and some people where the equipment wouldn't work at all! Have you dealt with that company yourself? Those reviews kind of scared me off.

Not first hand but word of mouth from a friend. Where did you read the reviews? Hopefully that wasn't at your local retailer...

As far as I can tell, they are a licensed reseller but if you've heard bad things, best to dig deeper first. You can find similar deals on-line and even at your local dealers. They just don't typically advertise the B stock items due to lower mark up.

I purchased my Integra 70.2 from my local Integra dealer, same shop that sold me my GET speakers. While I'm not crazy about the Integra anymore, it was still a good deal at half the original price and I had full dealer support, to include an exchange when the unit burned out another HDMI switch.

It's worth looking into if you want to keep the price down while you invest in the rest of your system. I purchased a low cost Yamaha while my Integra was being fixed to serve as my back up receiver and it was just fine for the $300 I paid. Just make sure you get something with pre-outs if you want to start purchasing amps right away.

Cheers,

T Cobe

No, that wasn't from my dealer. It was online reviews. I'll definitely check with the dealer to see if they are selling any "last year" models. Pre-outs are definitely on my radar, thanks!

That dratted doll again!!!!
"Annabelle"
PQ was pretty good. SQ was by way of DTS-HD MA 5.1 quite alright for trying to scare you.
Based on some kind of true story Annabelle Wallis is good in this, and some good-hearted points to consider.
A limited recommendation as it is one of those movies that tries to entertain by fear/shock and evil.
Was kinda good though, God Bless and stay away from that doll,
Wayne
