Gents,
I finally got to watch "Focus" tonight. Margot Robbie is in it, and that guy.
Ha ha Bro T, I saw what you meant by Fresh Prince playing this on the low down. I think that probably Jada Pinkett Smith told him not to get "into" that part.
But I gotta say the sound in 7.1 was pretty awesome at the race track when the cars were whizzing by. The music (soundtrack) sounded great too. "White Bird", nice.
What I really can't believe is that Margot, she who looks so good, dog, she can ACT!!!!
OH, yeah, he was acting so wooden in "After Earth" too. What is wrong with Will lately???

EX Machina, I still have yet to find.
God Bless, Wayne

P. S. Did I mention Margot Robbie?
God bless the child that's got his own.

OK, had an old foreigner buddy come over to watch movies today and he had never seen "True Lies", so we put it on and howled at some of the funny lines in this movie and LOVED the movie and when he left he said it was one of the best movies he has ever seen. I think so too, for all around entertainment.
It is a James Cameron movie, well before Titanic and Avatar. he wrote the screen play and directed this movie, I am telling you, it is over the top great entertainment.
IF you have not seen this movie, it is hard to find, but well worth the effort to look for it.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!
God Bless,
Wayne

Yeah, True lies is a pretty good movie. It can generally be found at yard/garage sales in VHS format for 50 cents.
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

Tonight it s a concert boys.
We have Ian Anderson on the flute (Bro Anthem, the only flutist I ever enjoyed listening to much), in "Jethro Tull's Thick as a Brick, Live in Iceland".
YES he can still play standing on one leg, and OFTEN DOES!!!!! And yes, he and this group are truly crazy. It is flaky, some fun, and incomparable music of this type, style, genre, what ever it is, they are great!
Sound on this blu-ray is good, really good, but not GREAT. DTS-HD MA 5.1 but it just seems to be that the sound could have been mixed a little bit better. Sometimes the lead guitar (and he is good) almost drowns out the rest of the band. The drummer is wonderful, some slick tricks and overall a really good experience.
IF you like Jethro Tull at all, RECOMMENDED!!!!!
IF you are not a fan, this probably won't be converted by this one. But it is a very enjoyable night for at least a "one of".
Ian Anderson playing guitar, flute, singing and dancing, I can think of worse ways to spend the evening.
God Bless,
Wayne

Tonight it was "Wolves".
PQ was fine, SQ at DTS-HD MA 5.1 did not reveal any secrets of home theater. But it was fine.
It was not exactly the story I thought it would be, a coupla good looking gals in there.
But it was pretty silly entertainment, just barely entertaining.
Not really recommended.
God Bless,
Wayne
