I see a LOT of interest and positive comments on Atmos here on the forum.
I was looking to see if any Blu-rays were out in Atmos yet, and was very surprised to find that a few I have just reviewed were in Atmos.
"Transformers, Age of Extinction", "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", "Hercules" and "Step up, All in".
OK, I don't know anything about the last one, and I read that Hercules never managed to come out in Atmos, but I can tell you for sure, OVER HERE, the first two did NOT come with Atmos. And I can imagine that will be the story for a long time to come, if not THE STORY.
I am looking at getting one more processor, and so far it looks like the Emotiva XMC-1, IF anyone actually reviews it well.
And that to me my last one. So, color me uninterested.
But happy listening to all channels "Smoke em, IF you got em!"
God Bless, Wayne

Before you know it every movie will be Atmos encoded, and most "broadcasts" will be as well, just like they are today in DD.

Two quick reports for you boys and girls.
"Maze Runner" looked really good, and started out well, interesting premise in the beginning. Drug along sorta boringly and then the end (no spoiler here, the end was the spoiler) was just stupid. And promised many a sequel to come which I can assure you I will not watch.
I mean, it really looked like it was gonna be a good flick. SQ and PQ were nothing to write home about.
"Bad Words" has a LOT of bad words, horrible language. IF you can get past that, and we probably shouldn't, it was a very funny film. And pretty heart-warming in the end. SQ and PQ nothing at all to even consider.
I was just reading that Jeff Beck has a new blu-ray concert out and put it on my wish list at Amazon. Reading the reviews it was reviewed highly, they said it was almost as good as Jeff playing at Ronnie's place. I thought, I remember being talked into buying that. I found it, blew the dust off of it, and put it on. I am sorry. This is Bro Anthem's kind of music, at least the first half of it, is dancing around with barbells on music. Finally when some girl comes on to actually sing a song, that was pretty good, but I was all ready to put in a movie by that time, bored!!!!! I cancelled my wish for his new one.
Just goes to show you, different strokes for different folks. Some LOVE Jeff Beck, and I do not question he can play that axe, I just don't like the songs he plays much. A few.
Hope this helps somebody out there.
God Bless, Wayne

Jeff Beck at Ronnie Scott's is a demo reference sonically, I have used it for years. Some really great tracks, and the young girl bassist is amazing.

Moderator Dude, I remember that you like that one (I like some songs where people are singing) and it does SOUND great!!!!
Like I said, just not my kind of music.
Tonight I am listening to COLDPLAY LIVE 2012.
It is a blu-ray and DTS-HD MA 5.1 It is NOT reference AT ALL.
Solid sound, sounds great!!!!
Not much surround sound at all. Could not demo my home theater with this blu ray at all.
BUT
BUT
BUT
LOVIN the MUSIC!!!!!
As I said, different strokes for different folks.
I guess it is what makes the world go round.
God Bless,
Wayne
