Not a Blu-ray, but....

I watched "Springsteen on Broadway", newly available via Netflix now that the long running show is over after several extensions. This a a compilation of several recordings of the show.

Bruce talks about his life, how it affected his music and vice versa, sings many of his hits in the context of a portion of his life that helped form the emotions for the song. No E Street Band, just Bruce and his guitar, piano and harmonica. His wife Patti Scialfa joins him for several songs.

Great look into the life of a rock and roll legend, with music to boot.

This is a nice movie and I have heard a lot about it. As soon as I finish watching shows by Andy Yeatman on Netflix, I will play this movie for myself. I have also added a few more movies like this to my watch list. I am going to have a good time during my vacation.

Watched "Finding Dory" with our grand children over Christmas. It's been years since the wife and I have seen this one. Video is 4 stars out of 5 and audio is 4 stars out of 5. Dolby Digital 5.1. But what is more important, was the kids laughing and enjoying the movie with us....5 stars - unforgettable.

This is an excellent Disney movie and a worthy addition to your library.

Black Panther

So after the kids went to bed the adults watched "Black Panther". Our daughter in law wanted to see the movie and our son was not interested in watching a Marvel Movie. However, as the movie evolved he was surprised and at the end he really enjoyed the film.

Video 5 out of 5 stars
Audio, 5.1, 5 out of 5 stars

Just an outstanding movie. I saw this in the theater when it came out and gave it a high rating and out of the 9 movies I have seen this year, this was the best. It's been nominated for a Golden Globe "Best Picture".

This is a must have Blu-ray for your library. My wife bought it for me for Christmas and she got the Ultra HD version that includes the Blu-ray disc. So I am set for the future if I buy an Ultra Blu-ray player.

The plot and acting are really good. Give the early part of the movie to build the back story and then the story line and action picks up. You will enjoy hearing the rumbling from your GET's.

Happy Holiday's.
