Just watched a Jimmy Buffett Blu-ray (Fin City, Live from Las Vegas). Also includes a CD with a slightly different song mix.

I just plain like A/V with surround best, so maybe I'm a bit prejudiced, but Buffett fans would like this. SQ varied some, depending on which show was recorded, but overall pretty darn good. It's in DTS HD Master Audio 5.1. And, yes, it can rock things.

Recommended.

Another recommend:

Sting, Live at the Olympia Paris Blu-ray, sound in DTS HD.

SQ is great throughout. Sting's voice is just nailed sound wise throughout. Bass is rich and deep, even for a bass head like me (maybe even a little more than I needed at times ;) ).

As a personal preference, sometimes I like more instrument background than Sting's band gives, like maybe a keyboard or trumpet, or sax.... but that's my own preference and takes nothing away from what they do.

SQ captured everything well. For the song Desert Rose, the GEt's just killed the drum riffs... and Every Breath You Take, well, the GEt's just wanted to play, cranked it to 100 db's, and I was there at the concert!!! Wow. Wow.

This is a keeper.

Bro Rick,
Buffet and Sting, good taste Sir!!!!!
I have Sting Live in Berlin on BR and it is amazing too.
Wonderful, keep em coming.
Last night we watched Clint Eastwood's son Scott take the lead in "Overdrive".
Actually the acting sucked as did the lines, but the PQ was really good, the SQ was REALLY good, and if you like the sight and sound of some cool vintage cars this is the movie for you.
The car sounds were awesome, this is well done.
So I will give it a grudging RECOMMEND, visually and sonically stunning. Just a little predictable.
Supposedly shot in and around Marseilles, France it is beautiful.
Cars, girls, France, you may want to watch this one.
God Bless,
Wayne

We watched "Geostorm" at the movie theater, I finally bought it and watched it at home last night to hear what it really sounded like. My Home Theater sound is better to me than the theater sound. Yes, I am bragging, sorry.
PQ was pretty good. SQ was 7.1 and wonderful.
The movie is pretty good, not the best actors in this one, sorta A- actors and script, but good enough.
Just movie fare, entertainment. Recommended, worth a watch, especially for the sound. But it is NOT demo worthy.
God Bless,
Wayne

Tonight was an amazing film, monumental, watched "Darkest Hour".
PQ was really good, SQ was 7.1 magic but not really demo worthy, or at least I did not notice it. Sometimes though, I get so caught up in the movie, I miss what the sound or picture are doing. This is that good a movie, but I really don't think it is a demo movie.
EXCEPT for acting, script, etc. This one goes hand in hand with Dunkirk, a more stunning visually and sound wise movie.
But the story obviously is the same time period.
Gary Oldman and Lily James, K. S. Thomas and more are great, Oldman particularly, even with all the prosthetics.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, do yourself a favor and watch this one. The cinematography here is top notch.
Writing, acting, it has it all.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
God Bless,
Wayne

Tonight's fare brought us down from the sublime to the ridiculous.
We watched "The Monster" which my wife and daughter said was the worst movie they had ever watched.
