Wayne, thanks for the suggestions. You have me wondering what amplifier you have, or did I miss it?

Another great recording (hybrid SACD) is Andrew Litton with the Colorado Symphony doing Copland: Billy the Kid, Rodeo, El Salon Mexico, and An Outdoor Overture. Excellent sound and performances. I can't play SACD/DSD anymore because I feed my Oppo output to an external DAC, but even the 16 44 layer is one of the best I've ever heard.

If you don't like Copland, ignore the above. :)

Thanks Charlie,
My T Ones are powered by Vincent tube/hybrid SP-T800 monoblocks. Here is a write up, though now they have been replaced by newer models I guess:
www.theabsolutesound.com/articles/tas-18...monoblock-amplifier/
I put better tubes in them, each amp runs pure class A for the first 20 W at 8 ohms, 200 W at 8 ohms in Class A/B and 320 W into 4 ohms. I run them balanced from the Oppo to my XMC-1 to the amps. Then MIT cables to the Ones.
I have the little brother, 100 W amp, Vincent SP-T100 mono for the center channel, also tube hybrid. That is 100W Class A, I like to feed my center channel SC-X well and it serves me with superb dialogue. www.soundstage.com/revequip/vincent_spt100.htm
I run the T 2s off 4 channels of the Bel Canto eVo 6 in bridged mode for 350 W into 8 ohms, running this balanced too.
My T 3s in the rear run off 2 IQ M300 mono blocks. These and the Bel Canto are class D to try and keep the heat down in my Thailand Home theater.
I hope this helps.
Happy listening as you break in your new TRefs.
God bless,
Wayne

Wow, Wayne, you are surrounded by amplifiers! I could use them here in the winter to help keep the house warm; must be challenging in Thailand.

Thanks for the info.

Yes, Charlie, I have to run the A/C nearly all the time in the home theater, which adds to the back ground noise level.
I can sometimes manage with just a fan, but honestly, the plasma TV adds more heat to the room than any of the amps. Because of the larger radiating surface. At least that is the way it feels.
Your Bel Cantos should run quite cool, I would guess.
Wanna trade????

Wayne, My Bel Cantos idle at 22 W each. They're a little warm to the touch.

Sorry, no trade! They're still breaking in and sounding better every day.
