Thanks, Moderator. I thought the general recommendation for Atmos was to avoid bipolar speakers which is the only rationale behind my recommendation. I'm sure the MPX would sound great. Most of the Atmos demos I've read about from GETs trade show demos include the T1s up front and the T2s for surrounds. I see that GET is attending an event soon and will feature and in-wall and in-ceiling stealth Atmos demonstration. I look forward to the reviews! Looks like GET will not be at Rocky Mountain Audio Fest...

Cheers,

T Cobe

Common misconception, the MPX is not bipolar, the angled drivers create wider dispersion (in this in-wall environment) to match the HVFR tweeter's wider horizontal dispersion. Makes them sound much more like a Triton Tower than a conventional in-wall that is limited by the effects of the very large (infinite) baffle.

And thanks T Cobe, you and the other owner-experts are a huge part of this successful forum and your input and comments are always greatly appreciated, especially by me!

Thank you T Cobe and Moderator for chiming in on this! Now I have to decide where the speaker would sound best installed! 90° from the listening spot or on the rear wall. I have a not-so-perfect room for this setup as you can see from the pictures and layout I provided in my original post, but I'm sure it will sound great either way. It's either going to be pointed at the listening position with a large distance difference on the left side or on the rear wall with a smaller (but still large) distance difference on the left.

Hi Rob138,
I second what T. Cobe said about the Marantz receiver being a better unit, or at least my experience with them has been good and they sound much better to me than the rest of the usual receiver competition. At least I would recommend an audition if you can.
Happy hunting and good luck building your system. I am sure it is gonna be great!

Great advice, guys. I'm going to look into the Marantz SR-5010. Looks like it has decent reviews and looks like it will fit my needs (7.2 100wpc Atmos DTS:X HDMI 2.0) AND GET forums approved.

I've requested a quote from my dealer - one big step closer! I'll post a new thread under the Show Off board once I get everything setup. Again, thanks for all of the advice, guys! You are a very informed and friendly group. Glad to have joined the forums.
