I recently Purchased the super sub XXL and it is musically awesome to say the least. I have one issue I am not sure how to correct/fix. When the Sub is on and no volume or low volume you can hear a slight hum out of it. I also switched input cables with no change. I also had the input disconnected and the hum is still there. Is there a fix to this problem I am experiencing?

Can you hear the hum from your listening seat? If so, you'll need to troubleshoot possible local causes first. With the audio input cable removed, after the sub turns on, make sure there are no sources of interference nearby (remove or unplug any WiFi routers, cellular boosters, microwave ovens, wireless phone bases) to see if the hum stops. If not, before contacting the dealer, move the sub to a different room and power circuit and see if it still hums. If not, something is causing it in the other room. If it still hums, contact your dealer with the serial number. There is no "fix" if there is a hum caused by the sub's electronics, your dealer would need to verify the issue and replace the electronics.

Yes I can, its not a consistent frequency, its like a cycling frequency. I disconnected everything but the sub power from my outlet and the hum is still there. How would you get it to power up with no input signal in another room?

If it matters I have an Anthem amp and its dead silent out of the same outlet that the supersub XXL is connected to.

In addition to what the moderator has stated, there is another one piece of equipment - when combined with less than perfect grounding - that is notorious for low frequency hum. Namely, cable television box equipment. Fortunately there is a remedy, Disconnect power to all cable equipment (in all rooms) and then listen to the Super Sub XXL. If cable equipment is found to be the cause, obtain from your cable company a drop isolator. It makes a WORLD of difference. So much so you should have one even if your cable equipment has nothing to do with the hum. B)

Plug in the RCA cable and tap the pin.

No, it doesn't matter.
