Seems like the powered ones are out of stock or discontinued. Doesn't bode well for Goldenear high end. Perhaps under new ownership going to more volume / lower priced designs...

Hey Peter

It's been awhile...

I've been wondering for a bit what product direction GoldenEar was heading in. Under AudioQuest, the introduction of the powered T66 and then the T44 suggested maybe the Triton line was getting a design refresh. Now, with the sale to PML Sound International, owners of some pretty great audio brands in Paradigm, Anthem and MartinLogan, it will be interesting to see what the new owner will do. There certainly is a quality pedigree to the brands they already own.

Maybe the new owners will give us a teaser on their intentions with GoldenEar??? Hated to see the T Ref retired with no mention of a future replacement, so far also the T 1.R.

Hey Rick,
Hope all is well.
Yes seems most Goldenear are going away with no sign of replacements. Hopefully there will be even better speakers than the T Refs and One.Rs in the future but signs don't seem good.
Glad I'm happy with my current speakers!

Yeah, it’s sure different than when we all wondered what great new products Sandy Gross was cooking up.
Now it seems, with no info to the contrary, the concern is more how much is GoldenEar retreating to a smaller, less high end product line.
Great opportunity for the new owners regenerate some product buzz.
