Thanx

My only direct experience is on wood floors. Though I do remember reading a review in Home Theater by a Bob Barret, where he did an in home review on his system in a carpeted room (with a supplied GAIA carpet spike, which I do not need on wood floors). He wrote about "not subtle" improvements like tighter bass, more 3D like sound, more natural, etc.

Hope that helps.

Regarding the use of the Gaia’s on the TRef’s: The original design of the Gaia’s were for forward/rearward firing woofer-speaker systems, and the directions on the Gaia’s are to have the labels facing either to the front of the speaker or the rear. As we know, the TRef’s have side firing woofers...so, to those who have the Gaia’s on the TRef’s...which direction did you place the labels? Front or rear, or to the sides? Also, is anyone using the Gaia’s on carpet without the Gaia proprietary carpet spike/cups?

Hi, Soundlogic

I have the Gaia II’s on T Ref’s, with the labels facing front.

I haven’t tried facing them other directions. Good question regarding what side forces the passive radiators may create also.

All I can say is that, on wood floors, there is a very noticeable uptick in clarity, and even bass extension.

Would other facing angles work better? I don’t know.

But they work well facing front, and if you experiment with other angles, let us know the results please!

Happy listening!

Rick

Thanks Rick...I’m waiting on the carpet spikes/cups, before any directional experimentation.
Will update when and if.

With no knowledge or comment about the isolation feet you are talking about, I can tell you that the side-to-side energy in the Triton One is completely cancelled by the opposing passive radiators.

Thanks for the response Mod...is it safe to presume that you’re comments on the Triton 1 also applies to the Triton References, since that is the speaker I am using with the Gaia’s?
