Moderator wrote: As long as the topic has come up, I can say that the generic audio forums are great, but they also harbor participants with unclear motives. Years ago, when working for another company, we caught another manufacturer posing as a consumer on the forum and making direct comparisons to our products. After several posts the ownership decided to approach the forum owners, leading to the discovery that the poster was in fact another manufacturer. Reason enough to take this kind of stuff with a huge grain of salt.

On the other hand, the thing I like about those forums is they tend to be self-correcting. With the help of honest people like you guys, BS gets quickly outed as exactly that and little disinformation harm comes of it. (It would be nice if made up news stories suffered the same fate...).

All that said, and to perhaps throw some more cold water on those silly comments, you Triton Reference guys are probably excited to hear that the new Stereophile Recommended Components issue is out and the Triton Reference is in CLASS A - FULL RANGE (and the least expensive member of that very-elite group by a factor of 2x). Distortion you say? I think not!! :)

Regarding other forums, or lets face it, audiogon in particular which is arguable the most famous purely from a web traffic perspective, for whatever reason the Triton's don't get much love. I can personally assure everyone that where the Triton's are concerned, I serve as an "ambassador" of sorts to ensure nothing untrue goes without rebuttal (or further when/if necessary)

My job is to shed light, and not to master :)

As to class A rating, this is great to understand and a terrific achievement on the part of Golden Ear. And, the fact that the Reference is the least expensive of the group is yet another testament to the exceptional value of the speakers, which goes above-and-beyond their outstanding sonic and cosmetic qualities.

You may be even prouder when you learn that I've posted in the thread on AG in which your previous post was deleted
forum.audiogon.com/discussions/focal-kan...=true&page=2#1529014

to echo the fact that the GET T Ref's are class A, in Stereophile's opinion.

Just sayin :)

Yay on the official Class A! My ears have been telling me that since I got my TRefs. I couldn't see how they could NOT be Class A.

Yup, I'll join the chorus. The Ref's are class A in my book. Stunning, even. They continue to amaze me.
