gmwinder wrote: The T1's are sounding better and better....actually took a day off yesterday and today they sound amazing. I have wood floors in my room so I hadn't put the floor spikes on so decided to try them today since these come with the metal disk to save the floor. Tough to tell the difference because they sound so good already but there seems to be a little more clarity to the sound...does that sound right?

Thanks
GW

Gmwinder, looks like your noticing those differences as they break in. I would agree with your comment about ther improvement in clarity as they break in.

Well the upgrades continue....after buying the Rega P3 which I traded in the next day for a Technics SL1210GR/Mofi MasterTracker MM I just ordered the new McIntosh MA252. My dealer seems to think it will be a really good match for the TOnes....anyone else got/heard one of these yet? Apart from it's really cool looks, initial reviews claim they have hit a home run given the price point.

I can picture you "could not be happier". With TOnes, a great MA 7000 amp and I always picture you with a half eaten Mars bar in your hand, you must be happy!!!!
Good for you man,
Happy listening,
God Bless,
Wayne

Lol I have been known to have a Mars Bar on occasion ! Truth be told I went with marsman because I own a small brick and mortar record store called Mars Records in historic Plymouth Ma my system is Mac Ma-7000 , VPI Prime with soundsmith carmen II cartridge and my new favorite speaker for the $$ Golden Ear Triton Ones

The MA252 arrived yesterday and it's amazing. Not that the Rega wasn't good but the sound from the McIntosh just has more overtones and color in the sound. I've played all my favorites including Beethoven, Eric Clapton, Dire Straits, Joe Bonamassa and I'm impressed with what I'm hearing. I really feel I've found my setup. What started out as a $4K investment has now grown to $15K but it's worth it.

Congratulations, gmwinder! I wish I could hear that sound. I'm sure it's excellent.
