Eric, thanks for the comments on the crossover technology, this is interesting.
Bradorner, welcome to the monkeyhouse man!!!!! We are in there together!!!!!
Glad someone else here is taking roughly the same approach as I am. I am a BIG notch behind you, you having the Ones in the front and T2s surrounds, and I have the T2s in the front and T3s surrounds.
I agree with your assessment that the fronts and wides are probably nice and interesting, but ultimately an unnecessary gimmick. (Or at least don't add that much over a properly setup and executed 7.1 system) Just my opinion here, but glad to hear it sounds like you agree.
IF the XMC-1 with Dirac is all it is cracked up to be, I feel pretty sure I will not need to add any more speakers in my remaining years.
I look forward to how things work out for you (and me).
PLEASE keep us up to date as you upgrade your system with the XMC-1.
I hope we can help each other.
Enjoy the ride, let's hope it doesn't get bumpy.
God Bless,
Wayne

dfontalbert,

Mine were great right out of the box. Manual says 60 to 100. I've seen a modest improvement over the first couple of weeks. Congrats and welcome to the forum.

Cheers,

T Cobe

Thanks T Cobe!

Unfortunately, I opened the first box last night and my speaker was damanged :(

The box had huge gashes in it and the base of my T1 was broken literally in half! I was so bummed. The top of the speaker was completely loose and the front of the speaker itself seemed to be loose under the sock!

The second box was awful as well, though the speaker appeared to be fine.

I hooked them up anyway, and I think the one is damaged, as there is a definite lack of midrange substance.

Going to contact my dealer once they open for business, and I'm sure they'll make it right. Bad thing is they are 300+ miles from me and these were shipped as there is no dealer in WV, sadly.

I'm hopeful once I get the replacement the sound is what I expected... I was quite frustrated!

Dave
