Wayne,

We have discussed Genisys a bit between Anthem, Imahawki and me. I'm not sure we commented on Emilia Clarke. It took me a little while to figure out who she was during the movie since she didn't have her white hair. ;)

I don't recall the 3D being particularly immersive either. I found the PQ and SQ quite good. I can't wait to hear your impressions of The Martian in 3D.

Cheers,

T Cobe

T. Cobe,
I am with you, can't wait to see Martian!
Tonight I watched "Hitman Agent 47"
I really enjoyed the first Hitman, with Timothy Oliphant and the awesome Olga Kuryuenhko, how to spell her name?
This one, not sure who the guy was but Hannah Ware was the star.
PQ was fine, but SQ was really good at DTS-HD MA7.1
Very good, and could be reference if we had not found a LOT of reference lately.
Good story and action, well done.
RECOMMENDED,
God Bless, Wayne
God bless the child that's got his own.

Started the day today with the usual cup of joe in the home theater. Instead of delving into music, the wife joined me and we watched the first episode of Showtime's new series Billions. There were a lot of familiar faces but certainly the most notable were Paul Giamatti and Damian Lewis. Great cast, great performances, excellent script and character development, and quality production value. Showtime has another hit on their hands with this one. I think this one will follow the tradition of blurring the lines between hero and villain; like HBO's The Sopranos. Highly recommended!

Thanks for the report on Hitman Agent 47, Wayne. I'll keep an eye out for it. I was unsure I'd be interested based on the previews and the absence of Timothy Olyphant. He's been guest starring on The Grinder, another good sitcom, but I've been waiting for him to come out with something new since Justified (another one of my favorite series) finished up.

Cheers,

T Cobe

We watched The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Sunday. Great fun movie with really gorgeous visuals and sound. Again it had a very dynamic soundtrack and I really enjoyed it.

Hell hath no fury like a woman who has been forced to earn money for someone else to get rich on, on her back!!!!
Twenty years of hooking made these gals mad, but they are still beautiful.
"Transporter Refueled" is a sequel where we get the awesome Audi 8s, but I missed Jason Stratham.
PQ was very good and SQ was too. But the acting is not up to the original and neither are the special fighting choreography.
The girls are pretty and I liked the father /son story-line a bit.
Recommended, but not highly and not reference.
God Bless,
Wayne

Tonight it was "Southpaw".
Jake Gyllenhaal is a good actor, Rachel McAdams has been one of the best actresses and most beautiful women on the planet, IMHO.
Course there was also the card girl from round 5 of the last fight to give her serious competition.
Forest Whitaker is always great.
PQ was quite good, SQ by way of DTS-HD MA5.1 was good too. Nothing reference here, but the music served the movie, except for some really nasty words!
This is a rough movie, touching sometimes too.
Recommended, but not really for sound.
God Bless, Wayne
