Hey Guys,
There is a guy over here in Thailand who is quiet on this forum, but he has 2 pairs of Triton 2s in his not so large listening room, 2 main and 2 surround, because he likes to listen to music, LOUD!!! Surprise surprise. And he normally runs VERY expensive speakers.
We may be finding a common theme here.
I tried out my lovely tube integrated amp in the home theater and already decided to shift it out to a smaller-music listening area (did that make any sense??? Much bigger area, but for smaller music. I decided the tube amp and my Triton 3s would be great in the living room playing chamber music, piano, folk, male and female artists crooning on their own, old ladies yodeling, etc.) to be replaced by power amps and the Triton 2s. I found that the tubes got rattled by the side loaded sound waves of the woofers when too near the Tritons playing loud. It introduced micro-phonic ringing distortions (they were too close).
The point being, I too like to listen to music and movies LOUD sometimes, especially rock and roll, exploring the dark side of the moon or the "Planets" on large, bombastic classical music.
Listening to music like this I have never enjoyed good, big, loud music like this before on my ribbon speakers. The Triton 2s are in a whole nuther class and I love em!!!!
Thanks and God Bless,
Wayne

Hi All,
Anybody heard of Phillip Phillips? "the World from the side of the Moon".
I just heard it on the plane, not the best place, but it sounded really good.
I just put an order on it at Amazon, well, put it in my ever growing basket.
I got to be home for 16 hours last night and this morning. Slept a solid 8 hours of that and unpacked, packed 3 more hours, did not even get to listen to any music.
On my way to Jakarta, Indonesia.
Blessings,
Wayne

Hey kids...groove is in the heart...cool!!
Rick Braun / Yours Truly (2005) Trumpeter extraordinaire
My favorite song, without a doubt, is Braun's rendition of Dee Lites "Groove is in the Heart". This CD reminds me of Ex-Lax...Excellent mornings guaranteed... Truly a smooth move.

The way the Triton 2's reproduce drums is nothing short of amazing... case in point:
Dave Weckl Band / Multiplicity (2005)
Check out track 8 (Mixed Bag) the drum work will leave you speechless.

Finally... after 23 days my Herb Alpert CD has arrived...I was getting nervous.
Herb Alpert / Steppin' Out (2013)
2013 instrumental album of the year. Stand out songs include, "Puttin' on the Ritz", "Jacky's place", "Green lemonade", "And the angles sing", "Migration". Jeff Lorber helps spice things up on several songs. I had a great time listening to this CD and will keep it in heavy rotation. Sonically, a very good recording.
