Yes, I have been drinking Anthem's Kool Aid. He has me on the sugar free version, I'm diabetic. I'm always interested in tying new music genres, except rap and country. I like up beat music and the smooth jazz Anthem listens to is upbeat.
Interesting story on Kool Aid. When I was a kid I hated Kool Aid. I thought it was nasty vile stuff. I did nut understand why my friends liked it. Then I went to friends house for a party. We were served drinks. I took one sip and asked what is this stuff? I loved it! My friends Mom told me it was Kool Aid. I could not believe it. This stuff did not taste like any Kool Aid I have ever had. My Mom was a health nut. Come to find out, she was buying the dry Kool Aid packets that you have to add your own sugar. She would only add half the sugar!

Sweet tunes abound at the Anthem domicile...
Erotiques / Music for romantic interludes (Playful Records)
Turn off the telephone and the answering machine...sit back, pour a glass of your favorite beverage and relax. With the opening chords of the "Erotiques" collection you'll be transported to another place...a sonic oasis where you are free to surrender to the music and the groove. Evocative rhythms, dusted with warm tenor sax, elegant guitar and piano, urge you to put away the stress of the day to day life. Succumbing to a more pleasurable existence, you can let feeling and music shape your emotions.

Got this from "Adam & Eve" ...back in the day. After listening to this I think I'm in the mood!! ;)

Wayne & MOBrien, the kool-Aid is great...

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

Amazing music from a talented musician

Brian Bromberg / It is what it is (2009)

What is so amazing about this CD is there are no guitar melodies or guitar solos on this recording. All melodies and solos that sound like guitar are played by Brian on piccolo basses. Piccolo basses are basses with strings that are tuned to the register of a guitar.

Joining him is another set of A-List musicians including: Gerald Albright, Rick Braun, Randy Brecker, just to name a few.

Finished critical listening, finished trying to hear this and that, checking out the system....for today at least.
Found the crickets coming through clearly now on Chris Jones album, with the T2s and the Vincents and the sound turned up.

Now spinning the shiny disc just for the love of music.
It is Amanda Marshall Self titled break-out, giddy-up album.
She has not done anything since that I find remarkable.

But this is awesome music. As in, she might be my muse for this good day.

Bro Anthem, sorry, I can't hit where you live, but God Bless you listening to your chosen genre. This is likely as close as I will get to you, heck you might even be able to dance to the track "Sittin on top of the world" But overall this will not be your kind of music, IMHO. Sorry, I know you started this thread.

Blessings and happy listening,
Wayne
