I really like the Living Stereo disc "My Favorite Chopin", with Van Cliburn playing. It was originally recorded in 1961, and later digitally remastered to 20 bit resolution. It captures the gorgeous piano sound, pedals, soundboard and all. SQ is excellent.

Thanks, Wayne! Listening to the Living Stereo SACD of Stowkoski's Rhapsodies. This is an amazing recording! Of course, I'm playing it in POS right now. I'll have to play it in surround sound later, but it's probably one of the best classical recordings I have heard. The music and SQ are phenomenal!

I think you'll really love My Favorite Chopin! The SQ is so realistic, it's like there's a grand piano right there in the room, with Van Cliburn playing gorgeous music for you.

Re the Living Stereo SACD of Rhapsodies, that is something I want to order.. there is a version on Amazon; 3 channel hybrid SACD, with Listz, Enescu, Smetana, Wagner listed as composers with pieces played. Is that the one you have?
