The URL is in the prior, long-winded post I did. I also sent you a private message. It will take time to learn, at least it did me, but is every bit worth it to finally be able to play your high resolution SACDs via NAS / music server.

Thanks Eiffel for the interesting and informative replies. Good for you!!!!
Glad someone here knows as much as you do on that subject.
RESPECT!
I felt forced to rip my CDs as I found quite a few of them losing it, becoming corrupted. IF that happens to my SACDs, and Blu-rays, I will just #### a brick!!!!
Coz I can't see me ripping them, I have a LOT of movies.
God Bless,
Wayne

Funny, I just recently bought the vinyl of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers - Greatest Hits as my aging, original 1993 CD release has been skipping due to playing this in the car.. a no-no in my book. It took me a week to finally play the vinyl, but when I did, I ripped it to the NAS using my PS Audio Nuwave Phono Converter. I bet the digital version of this in high res comes out early next year.

Once I rip the DSF files to the NAS for my SACDs, I plan on making DVD-Audio's using converted WAV files and then for the first time ever, hear the high resolution of my SACDs in my Acura TL as played on the ELS Dvd-Audio stereo stock unit.

FYI, it was this car that I still drive today that started my resurgence back into music after dropping out for a decade due to school, marriage, kids, etc. Once I heard the DVD-Audio of Deep Purple's "Machine Head" 5.1 in the TL, there was no turning back!

Hey, eiffel62

Thanks for sharing what you're doing to capture your music collection in a central place!

Like others, I have only gotten as far as ripping my 2 channel CD's to a common file, my laptop with cloud back-up in Apple itunes lossless. I did that so I could use SONOS to stream any combination of those CD's/songs to my system here in TX, or transport/use the music anywhere.

For non 2 channel discs of any kind, I use the OPPO in TX to play SACD, Blu-ray, DVD, HD, multi channel, etc. etc. I haven't crossed the bridge on how to get that assortment of discs into any kind of a common file.

You are definitely at the head of the curve. Keep on posting us and nudging us!
