Thanks for posting that list of Sandy's favorite demo stereo tracks. I've collected a lot of "reference" tracks but had almost none of those. Fortunately many of the source CDs are available used on Amazon for $.01 (plus $3.99 shipping) so my mailbox will be full in a few days...

Yes Roundabout HD track. Wow - that first rising note is like the Dolby test sound. Be sure to play it loud :-)

Another version of Bolero from a Reference Recordings album on Sandy's list. This album sounds fantastic. Highly recommended, not that my opinion compares to that of Mr. Gross. :laugh:

Charlie Haden - Quartet West / Now is the Hour (1995) Detour Ahead

My work took me to Wichita yesterday. On my way home I stopped by CD TradePost, and picked up a couple cds. Rock and Pop seemed to dominate the majority of selections with jazz being of "slim pickings". I did score 2 cds...Haden is one of them.
