That is Canon Beach, Or. This was taken a little after midnight. Those are moonbeams. I dropped my son off at his grandmas after work and was late driving back up the coast. Just in a hunch I stopped by one of my favorite parks just north of Canon Beach. Lucked out that this was happening. :)

I'm with Rick on this one. The shoreline and ocean by moonlight are absolutely stunning! Great work as usual Roman. Besides capturing and editing, you have a real talent of finding the right places to capture the images.

Ravi Coltrane / From the Round Box (2000) -- Blues a la Carte

Started playing this last Saturday, and have played it about four times.
Ravi is not his father...I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
He has a free jazz style that often times does not come together melody wise.
Ravi is Ravi.
I have three of his recordings, and all three are plaqued with distortion here and there. There is a brightness on some tracks courtesy of the soprano sax, but when the Torri's treble knob was turned down, things improved.
None of his music is demo material...sometimes I wonder why I listen to it.
The music itself rates 3 out of 5 stars.

A little Jazz at the Pawnshop tonight before bed. There is a lot of low level detail on this one and even at -30 on the volume knob, it's quite involving.
