Hey, Pbgalvin
It seem you've gotten lots of good suggestions on Rachmaninoff recordings. The only recent one I have is an SACD by Reference Recordings, with "Symphonic Dances", "etudes-tableaux" and "vocalise". I would say it is similar to regular 16 bit CD quality.
I haven't purchased regular CD's in quite awhile, just SACD or HD recordings. I can find most 16 bit stereo music on DEEZER in FLAC format, and stream it. DEEZER has lots of Rachmaninoff recordings available. One of my favorite DEEZER Rachmaninoff pieces is Arthur Rubenstein playing the 2nd piano concerto. On Amazon, "Rachmaninoff plays Rachmaninoff" gets high marks, with reviewers saying in effect no one plays Rach stuff better the man himself. I streamed some of that through DEEZER, and liked the Rubenstein version better, more dynamic. It seems lots of folks like the 2nd piano concerto. I may look for the Van Cliburn Living Stereo version...
