Saturday morning, listening to Acoustic Alchemy / AART (2001) -- Love At A Distance

T Cobe: back in the day I use to do 40-50k pushups per year. As the years have progressed, every other week seems to work best for muscular endurance and personal bests. Pushups, weight training, and cardio (speaking of myself) are done year round. Every so often I like to see how many pushups I can do in 33 minutes (1000) and also in 60 minutes (1728)...it's all fun.
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

Listening to Muddy Mississippi Waters Live. Brand new 180 gram vinyl. Originally released when I was 6. It certainly sounds brand new. I do enjoy live recordings.

Apparently today is record store day, or at least it was at my store. They opened early and had a lot of sales. As usual, the albums I wanted were not on sale... Any other blues fans out there?

Cheers,

T Cobe

A new addition to the family.
Charlie Haden / Quartet West (1987) -- The Blessing

Charlie Haden - Bass
Ernie Watts - Sax
Alan Broadbent - Piano
Billy Higgins - Drums

Overall a good cd. The soprano sax was used on a couple of tracks and did sound a little Hot (hard to control the soprano sax). The track "Taney Country" 7:39 min. had Hayden playing solo bass the whole track...got a little boring. Wish they would have thrown some sax into the mix.

T Cobe: Back in the day I use to play the Dickens out of Aerosmith - Toys in the Attic...great 8-track

Listening to That's My Story: John Lee Hooker Sings the Blues. This is a bonus track on the LP I'm playing. Performances were captured in 1960 but it sounds like it could have been recorded yesterday. It's certainly better than many of the classic Jazz CDs I have in terms of SQ.

Cheers,

T Cobe
