I've been listening to a new SACD, Rachmaninoff Symphonic dances (RR96-CD). It's in stereo, not 5.1. It has 3 pieces ((Symphonic dances, Vocalise, Etudes-tableaux). While I love classical music (at least some), and love HD music files in general, this played more like a standard CD. Great classical music. SQ about equal to a good stereo CD. I'd say if you like Rachmaninoff, get the standard CD version. The SACD didn't really offer more.

Thanks, Roman, for the song and rubbing in the arrival of Spring. An inch or two of fresh snow this morning... Oh well, we know how to make our own weather here in Wisconsin.

What a day it shaped up to be. Enjoying a Surly Abrasive with Charles Mingus. Picked up Mingus Dynasty at the record store on a shiny 180 gram piece of vinyl. The music is sweet and the beer is bitter!
