Speaking of 8 Track, I was listening to AC/DC, Back in Black, today. When I was young, one of my friends had a beater with an 8-Track player in the dash. It was broken and the only music that you could listen to was Back in Black. At least it wasn't RATT or Poison. For some reason, I remember it sounding pretty good in that beat up rust bucket but it probably just sounded like freedom. Listening today brought back old memories and it still sounded kick a$$!

Lots of good stuff being posted here... I was channel surfing on tv last night, looking for something to watch/listen to (my tv is also part of my GEt HT system). I ran across a channel showing a Zac Brown Band special, and got caught up in how beautifully the GEt speakers presented the music, including some gorgeous bass.

I did some DEEZER streaming today of Zac Brown stuff. Some I loved, some I didn't. What I can say is that if there is something there in the music that is special, the GEt speakers just bring it home (for me, that is is T1/T2/SCXXL multi channel). If there's a special voice sound, I hear it. If there's a special instrument sound, a guitar soundboard reverberating, a guitar string being plucked, I hear it. Just amazing....

Finally got the Triton One back and repaired this weekend. Now all GE LCR speakers are powered by a Emotiva Gen 3 XPA three channel amp. Needless to say, played quite a bit of music on it including the 2016 Patricia Barber Cafe Blue Un-mastered SACD.

Yes the amp definitely improves on the Crown amp with more detail, instrument separation, and bass punch. The next upgrade will be for the surrounds and rears. Thinking Triton 2+ and Aon 3s respectively with either a second Gen 3 four channel amp or upgrade this one to a 7 channel amp, leaning toward former to allow for height channels once I decide on the surround processor. No hurries as having the LCR all GE and properly powered is rewarding enough for now.
