Jordan Smith on The Voice

Queen's
"Somebody To Love"

WON IT in my humble opinion!!!!!!
I mean the whole thing.
I am just now seeing the semi finals, just finding out who is in the finals, but Jordan has my vote.
God Bless,
Wayne

Yeah, Wayne, I agree. While I wasn't fond of the arrangement, Jordan's vocals were out of this world! It's hard to imagine anyone topping that. I really hope he has a chance to make some records. We have a few female stars now that seem to be breaking the skinny girl cookie cutter mold. Maybe Jordan can do the same.

Listening to some of the usual suspects this morning. I started with Ray Charles, Genius Loves Company, and moved on to The Definitive Collection of Stevie Wonder. Everything is sounding great! I only wish my Wife were awake so I could turn it up a bit more... That may be one of the bigger differences with the new CD player, I seem to be listening at higher volumes. I'm not sure if it's because the sound is les fatiguing or not, but even the Wife has been asking me to turn it up... That's gotta count for something!

I've moved on to Diana Krall: Live in Paris. This is a great recording.

Cheers,

T Cobe

Hi Wayne

I didn't know you got a delayed broadcast of "The Voice"????. I'll be watching the finals this coming Monday, and recording it.. should have recorded all the earlier shows also..... Jordan Smith's performances are classics. I've been re watching You Tube video's of his performances, back to his audition, when he turned all 4 chairs, and back to stuff that has appeared of some of his earlier high school and church choir performances. He's a natural.

Re what a GEt forum BBQ would be like, you're right, it WOULD be a HOOT!

Enjoy your new grill. It sure looks like a winner!

Happy listening.

Rick, you also are one of the most positive, knowledgeable, well-spoken and kind people here.
It is a joy having you here on this forum.
And IF you can round up the boys for the BBQ, I will provide the grill.
You guys can bring the music.
God Bless,
Wayne

Perfect for a cold, damp, and gloomy morning...

Artist: Miles Davis (with a few other band members you may have heard of)
Album: Kind of Blue
Track: Blue in Green

A fine example of what Columbia records does to classic albums with CD transfer... Performance 5/5, Sound Quality 3.5/5. Not the way to treat arguably the best jazz album ever! It's still a beautiful album. When I go vinyl, this will probably be my first purchase.

Cheers,

T Cobe
