Shake, Rattle, and Slither...listening to Matt Marshak /Lifestyle (2014) -- Hats and Sneakers.

Well boys and girls, my usual cd listening sessions have been put on hold this week. The wife came home last Saturday and wasn't feeling good (back hurt and extremely tired). She slept off and on for 72 hours, and now has an ongoing cough that won't go away. She hasn't been to work this week, but wants to see what tomorrow holds, and may try a partial day. As soon as she gets back to work, I'll get back to THE MUSIC.
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

Anthem,

Sorry to hear your wife has not been feeling well. I've been wondering why you haven't been posting. I hope she has a speedy recovery. We've been fighting some respiratory illness in our home as well. 'Tis the season.

Playing Jesse Cook's Blue Guitar Sessions. This one is particularly beautiful. I believe Wayne turned us onto this album. It is another well recorded acoustic gem. I was looking for some Charlie Hunter based on your previous posts but the music store didn't have anything in stock. Came away with a Passafire album, another intro from you, and will tap into that tomorrow.

Cheers,

T Cobe

Bro Anthem,
Pass on our best wishes to Juanita for health and fast recovery.
I am coughing over here, guess we all need some healing and help this time of year. It got down to 13 last night, cool here, that is like 55 of your little degrees.
Yes, T. Cobe, that Jesse Cook is on top of my demo discs, and yet, it is more than that, I just love to listen to it pretty often.
From "More Storms Comin'" by Mark Selby:

Some blues for you boys.
God Bless,
Wayne

Back to The Blue Guitar Sessions again this AM. I didn't make it all the way through yesterday. Sound quality is very good on this album but this track has a lot going on in the background and I can't quite figure out what it is. The T1s are so revealing in my setup that I can hear every detail with great clarity. There is actually lot in the background of the music on this whole album. With the sound quality as good as it is, it's more of a positive than negative. I would assume the process of trying to strip any of this background would diminish the sound quality of the album. It's nuance on these types of recordings that make great demo tracks, IMO.

Cheers,

T Cobe

T. Cobe,
I was wondering when someone was gonna comment on that.
Seems like the recording is SOOOO clear that you can hear a pin drop in that room. Every little movement of the guitar against
his body or whatever is picked up.That is on my T 2s and my head phones.
This is wonderful music, but also reference recording.
Enjoy and tell me if you figure out what all the sounds are?
God Bless,
Wayne
